Tornillos calidad 12.9: resistencia máxima y precauciones

La calidad 12.9 es la más alta de las tres habituales: 1200 MPa de resistencia a tracción nominal y 1080 MPa de límite elástico. Se usa en uniones muy cargadas y en tornillería de cabeza cilíndrica con hexágono interior.
Se combina con tuerca de clase 12. Por su dureza es sensible a la fragilización por hidrógeno, así que el recubrimiento electrolítico exige un proceso controlado.
