High-strength threaded rod, from M16 to M72
Threaded rod solves what no catalogue bolt covers: through joints of great thickness, long anchors and made-to-size studs. We work with coarse metric threads, from M16 to M72, with their matched nuts and washers.
There are two ways to order it. DIN 975 is the commercial bar, threaded along the whole length, to be cut on site or in the workshop. DIN 976 covers studs already cut to the length of the order, with factory-finished ends: it is what suits series and documented projects.
| DIN 975 | DIN 976 | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Threaded bar | Made-to-size stud |
| Length | Commercial bar, cut to size | The one in the order |
| Ends | Cut on site or in the workshop | Factory finished |
| Property classes | 8.8 and 10.9 on request | 8.8 and 10.9 on request |

Property classes
8.8 is the base in large sizes and the alternative when the standard bolt does not exist in the length needed. 10.9 is supplied on request for calculated joints. For light supports there are 4.8 and 5.8, and for corrosive environments, stainless A2 and A4: ask us about the thread size.
Finishes and cutting
Black and zinc plated as standard and hot-dip galvanised for outdoor use, with oversize nuts. Every cut leaves bare steel: outdoors it has to be protected, and in large sizes a badly cut thread makes the whole assembly difficult. That is why, from M42, the made-to-size stud usually beats the bar.
Thread pitch
Coarse metric thread by default: M42 with pitch 4.5, M48 with 5 and M56 with 5.5. Fine thread in large rod is made-to-order material.
What to state when ordering
Standard, thread size, length, property class, finish and quantity, and the nuts and washers of the set. For example: DIN 976 M30x500, 8.8, hot-dip galvanised, 120 pcs, with 240 DIN 934 class 8 oversize nuts. If the job requires a 3.1 certificate to EN 10204, ask for it with the order.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between DIN 975 rod and DIN 976 stud?
DIN 975 is the threaded bar that is cut to size; DIN 976 is the stud already cut to the length of the order, with finished ends.

We work from M16 to M72, in DIN 975 bar and in made-to-size DIN 976 studs.
What property class of rod should I order for a loaded joint?
8.8 is the standard industrial one; 10.9 is supplied on request for calculated joints. The DIN 934 nut goes in the same class.
Is there a minimum order?
No. We supply from a single piece up to batches of thousands.
