DIN 934 (ISO 4032) nut: classes 8, 10 and 12 and sizes
← Back to standards and grades
DIN 934 is the standard hex nut. Its current equivalent is ISO 4032, with the same changes in across flats at M10, M12, M14 and M22 as on the bolts.
The nut class must match the bolt property class: class 8 for an 8.8 bolt, class 10 for 10.9 and class 12 for 12.9. A lower-class nut limits the strength of the whole joint.
| Bolt property class | DIN 934 / ISO 4032 nut class |
|---|---|
| 8.8 | 8 |
| 10.9 | 10 |
| 12.9 | 12 |
