DIN 931 (ISO 4014) bolt: part thread, dimensions and property classes
← Back to standards and grades
DIN 931 is the hex head bolt with a partial thread: a plain shank next to the head and the thread only at the end. It is chosen when the joint works in shear or when the plain shank has to bear in the hole of the part.
Its current equivalent is ISO 4014, with the same differences in across flats that separate DIN 933 from ISO 4017.
Available in property classes 8.8 and 10.9 and in long lengths, which is where it is used most. For large sizes or high quantities, ask for a quote.
